Viberti Langhe 2021 750ml
Description
Honesty tastes refreshing in a world of marketing speak, and Viberti’s straightforward Langhe delivers truth in every glass. No pretense, no inflation, just good wine from good land made by good people. Sometimes that’s more than enough.
The 2021 vintage suited Viberti’s direct approach perfectly. Balanced conditions created balanced wine, allowing their traditional methods to capture Langhe’s essential character without need for manipulation or spin.
The aromatics are refreshingly direct. Clean fruit, subtle earth, hints of spice – nothing forced, everything in proportion. This is wine that doesn’t try too hard because it doesn’t need to. Confidence shows in restraint.
On the palate, honesty continues. The structure is traditional – firm but fair tannins, bright acidity, moderate alcohol. Flavors are clear and defined without being simple. This is craftsmanship rather than artistry, and that’s perfectly fine.
Viberti’s 2021 Langhe reminds us that good wine doesn’t need stories. By focusing on quality fundamentals rather than marketing angles, they create bottles that satisfy without demanding attention. For everyday drinking that never disappoints, honesty is the best policy.
