Tequila Ocho Las Raices Barrel Select Old Fitzgerald Anejo Tequila 750ml
Description
Tequila Ocho Las Raices Barrel Select Old Fitzgerald Anejo blends the rich tradition of Mexican tequila with the depth of American bourbon. This limited-edition anejo delivers a refined, layered sipping experience that highlights both pure agave flavor and barrel complexity.
The tequila uses 100% Blue Weber agave grown at peak maturity on single estates in Jalisco, Mexico. Tequila Ocho follows a single-estate philosophy. They cook, ferment, and distill the agave slowly to preserve its vibrant character. The spirit then spends 12 months in barrels that previously held Old Fitzgerald 10-Year-Old bourbon. This aging adds subtle sweetness and oak notes while keeping the agave flavors front and center.
The nose offers aromas of cooked agave, toasted oak, vanilla, and caramel. Hints of warm spice and sweet baking notes emerge as well. On the palate, honeyed toffee, gentle spice, and bright agave unfold in rich layers. The finish stays long and elegant. It balances Tequila Ocho’s signature earthiness with the bourbon barrels’ dessert-like influence.
This expression stands out for its fusion of terroir-driven agave and bourbon barrel character. It appeals to both tequila purists and bourbon enthusiasts. Enjoy it neat in a tasting glass to experience its full complexity. You can also pair it with dark chocolate, roasted nuts, or aged cheeses for a memorable tasting moment.
