Isabelle Garrault Cuvee Les Grands Monts Sancerre 2023 750ml
Description
Isabelle Garrault has emerged as one of Sancerre’s rising stars, and Les Grands Monts showcases her ability to coax exceptional expression from this celebrated vineyard. The 2023 vintage provides the perfect canvas for her precise, terroir-driven winemaking.
The wine opens with crystalline purity – citrus and white flowers dominate, followed by pronounced mineral notes of wet chalk and flint. The Les Grands Monts vineyard’s limestone-rich soils create exceptional minerality, while Garrault’s gentle handling preserves every nuance. As it develops, hints of white peach and fresh herbs emerge. On the palate, the wine delivers laser-like precision; vibrant acidity carries pure fruit flavors, while the mineral backbone provides structure and extraordinary length. The texture remains ethereal yet satisfying.
This 2023 Les Grands Monts represents everything that makes great Sancerre special – intensity without weight, complexity without complication. Garrault’s rising reputation is well deserved, as she crafts wines that speak clearly of their origins while offering immediate pleasure. For those seeking Sancerre with both typicity and personality, this bottle delivers an authentic expression of one of the appellation’s finest sites.
